CODE FOR A CAUSE

Brand identity and campaign design for a
community initiative supporting Kansas City nonprofits.

Code for a Cause is Lifted Logic’s community initiative giving a Kansas City nonprofit a fully custom website and supporting creative work. For the 2025 campaign, I developed a new identity that could feel distinct enough to stand on its own while still fitting naturally within the LL world.

The logo process followed the same kind of focused identity exploration I use for client work. I started with the purpose of the initiative, the existing brand, visual references, and the different ways the idea of giving, community, and digital work could come together in a simple mark. I developed multiple directions and refined the strongest concepts through feedback with the Lifted team.

The winning concept came from the idea that “one click” can set change in motion. It can bring awareness to a cause, turn an idea into something real, and give it a platform to grow. The keyboard key became a symbol for the strategy and web work that makes that possible, while the heart represented the care and intention behind it.

The final system gave Code for a Cause a recognizable identity that could carry across the full campaign while leaving room for the organizations themselves to stay at the center.

Work completed during my time at Lifted Logic. Design and execution were my own, with feedback from the team throughout the process.
